Collection: Serapi

Hailing from the Heriz district in northwest Iran, Serapi rugs are among the most celebrated and collectible Persian carpets ever woven. The term "Serapi" denotes a specific, elite quality of rug produced during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, representing the golden age of the region's weaving tradition. These rugs are the product of extraordinary skill, using only the finest, softest wool, which is hand-spun, vegetable-dyed, and densely knotted onto a sturdy cotton foundation. The result is a pile of remarkable luster and silky texture that improves with age.
